Well, I just couldn't stop with making a Valentine's Day Wreath, I just had to make a Valentine's Day Picture Frame!
I am kind of like that, I will make something and then start looking around the house to apply the same technique to a different medium, changing up the colours etc.
I used large foil pink cupcake liners to make this picture frame. It was a simple wooden frame that I had around the house and felt like kicking it up a notch. I love the fullness of the frame and it really stands out. Much prettier and more eye-catching than the old one. See for yourself...

Valentine's Day Wreath
I have viewed several tutorials online regarding how to make a wreath out of cupcake liners. I decided to make my own Valentine's Day Wreath out of mini cupcake liners that I bought on sale after Christmas for 70% off. Hey, they were a red and white damask pattern which is perfect for occasions such as Valentine's Day, Canada Day or of course, Christmas. And since I didn't happen to have an extra wreath base lying around the house, I had to tap into my creative side to find one. I ended up using a recycled pizza box from our bin and suited the job perfectly.
I dressed up my wreath with some red tulle ribbon and a rhinestone heart. I love it and basically made it for a price less than a cup of coffee.
Now that's a sweet Deal!!!

Heart Shaped Garlic Butter Dog Biscuits
With 2 dogs in the house of such a range in size, I was looking to make a special Valentine treat that would be suitable for the "boys".
My girlfriend found 1 1/2 inch heart shaped cookie cutters at the local bake shop which were perfectly suited for my next task.
I have a "cookbook" of dog biscuit recipes. I found a fairly easy recipe and made some adjustments. The end result - a beautiful golden Heart Shaped Garlic Butter Biscuit that both dogs can eat. Hudson is 11 weeks old and about 2 1/2 pounds...Bentley is the big guy weighing in at 85 pounds.
The end result: Both dogs handle these treats like champs..Hudson's little baby teeth take a bit longer to chew through these while Bentley inhales in one gulp!

Introducing "Hudson Royce"
With our Golden Retriever named Bentley turning 9 in April, we have decided to take on another "forever dog" into our home.
We decided on a mixed breed this time, choosing a male Bichon Poo (Bichon Frise/Toy Poodle mix) and named him Hudson. My daughter chose the name - after a baby Polar Bear from the Toronto Zoo. It suits him perfectly. He is so cute that I can't pass by him without giving a little kiss on to of his head...
As you can see, I am partial to Blonde coloured male dogs! (ooohhh, how can you not love that little baby animal face?).
So, it's like having a new baby in the house, late night awakenings and lots of trips outside. Honestly, I have earned the rings around my eyes these last couple of weeks and wear them with pride!

Handpainted Signs
I have been loving the website Pinterest - lots of great inspirational ideas and tutorials. I like to find out how certain things are made, then take the idea to a different level and make it my own.
Over the last couple of weeks I have been up until the wee wee hours, obsessed with painting wooden signs made from "found" wood. The possibilities are endless and I have to admit that I have a hard time putting this particular task down.
My husband and daughter have been very patient with me as I have been super focused on making these signs for an upcoming Craft/Market Sale. So, as a peace offering, I made them each a sign and they were very happy to know that I was still thinking of them while being grossly obsessed with painting!

Glitter Heart Headbands
Wowza! Bring on the Bling. I love glitter and the way it reflects the light...like little diamonds (but way affordable).
My daughter Ava is my model and loves to have pretty much the first prototype of everything that I make.
I made this lovely metal headband using a wooden heart, paint, red sparkles and Glossy Accents to make the perfect Valentine Hair Accessory.
I have had several orders for these already, unique and I've not seen them anywhere else..which makes these headbands even sweeter...
The are super affordable at $6.00 USD!
